Ten people died and 17 others were injured after a small plane crashed in Gramado, Brazil. The crash occurred shortly after takeoff from Canela Airport, with the plane hitting a building under construction, a furniture store, and a hotel. Most of the injured suffered from smoke inhalation due to the fire caused by the crash. All the deceased were passengers from the same family, although it is unclear if there were other passengers on the plane. Two of the injured are in serious condition and are being transferred to a different hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Civil Police and the Center for the Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa). The General Institute of Forensics is working to identify the victims.
