Libertarian candidate Marco Battaglia, running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Iowa’s 3rd District, is focused on cutting federal foreign aid and prioritizing domestic issues. Battaglia believes that both Democrats and Republicans in Washington, D.C. are not doing enough to control federal spending, and he aims to change that if elected to Congress. He plans to decrease funding for Ukraine and Israel’s wars with Russia and Hamas, redirecting the money to address domestic concerns.
Battaglia, a Des Moines native and correctional officer, also aims to campaign on de-criminalizing marijuana and ending abusive prison labor practices. He faces incumbent Republican Rep.
