“Ted Lasso” star Jason Sudeikis made a surprise appearance at the Iowa-Bowling Green women’s basketball game on Saturday night, alongside WNBA legend Sue Bird. The 48-year-old actor initially needed some coaxing from the crowd before he got up to perform the iconic dance from his hit show. Once he started dancing, the arena erupted in cheers, and even Bird could not contain her laughter.
Sudeikis and Bird had also attended a men’s college basketball game the day before, where Sudeikis cheered on his hometown Kansas Jayhawks. However, Saturday night belonged to 21-year-old Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark, who scored a game-high 24 points in a dominant victory over the Falcons. Sudeikis made sure to greet Clark after the game and was clearly impressed by her performance.
Despite Clark’s stellar performance, Sudeikis stole the show with his impromptu dance routine. The jumbotron captured the moment for all to see, making it a night to remember for fans in attendance. Sudeikis’ presence added an element of star power to the game, bringing even more excitement to Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Fans and players alike were thrilled to see the beloved actor showing off his dance moves in support of the Iowa women’s basketball team.
