An explosion at an explosives factory in northwest Turkey resulted in the death of 12 individuals and left four injured. The blast caused a fireball and smoke to rise from the factory building, with subsequent video showing the destruction of the metal framework. The incident occurred in the village of Kavakli in Balikesir province, with no suspicion of sabotage mentioned by local authorities. Many fire crews were dispatched to extinguish the blaze, while health and security units were also sent to the area. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the explosion by the government’s communications directorate.
