Atlantic County Supervisors Approve Resolutions for Disbursement of Remaining APRA Funds

The Cass County Board of Supervisors recently met to allocate the remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for the county, with a focus on supporting the Cass County EMA Association, Cass County Libraries, and EMS services. The decision to distribute approximately $32,000 to the Cass County EMS Association was made in order to assist with training for paramedics and EMTs, as well as strengthen the EMS system in the county. Additionally, $20,000 of ARPA funding was earmarked for other projects, including a splash pad project in Griswold, school resource officer radios for the Atlantic Police Department, and a roof project at the Atlantic Library.

During the meeting, it was suggested that the remaining $20,000 be allocated to the Cass County Libraries, as they had previously requested funding and were facing inflation and rising costs. The board also approved reallocating $10,000 in ARPA funding that had been designated for Secondary Roads for radios to be used for other equipment within the department.

Overall, the decisions made by the Cass County Board of Supervisors reflect a commitment to supporting essential services and infrastructure within the county, as well as addressing the needs of various community organizations. The distribution of ARPA funding highlights the board’s dedication to ensuring the well-being and growth of Cass County as a whole.
