A man drove into a Texas mall and struck multiple people before being shot and killed by police on Saturday. The man crashed into a JC Penney store at the Killeen Mall, injuring four people. The injured ranged in age from six to 75 years old, with injuries ranging from severe to minor. No deaths besides the suspect have been reported. The Texas Rangers are investigating the police shooting. The incident, initially reported as an active shooter situation, turned out to involve a possibly intoxicated driver who drove into the mall after exiting the highway. Police urged the public to avoid the area for the safety of first responders and investigators. Killeen is located about 67 miles north of Austin. The mall has over 90 retailers. NBC News Digital reporter Rebecca Cohen covered the story.
