The driver, identified as Sarafina Wilson, 27, was arrested and faces charges including driving while intoxicated and driving on the wrong side of the highway.

The Sheriff’s Office is using this incident to remind people to drive safely and soberly during the holidays, warning against the dangers of driving under the influence. Captain Nicholas Lennie emphasized the importance of having a designated driver, using rideshare services, or getting a hotel if drinking. He also advised sober drivers to be vigilant on the roads for impaired or reckless drivers, recommending driving in the right-hand lane to reduce the risk of colliding with wrong-way drivers.
