Keep Iowa Beautiful’s Hometown Pride program is expanding with the addition of nine new communities in Northwest Iowa. The program aims to strengthen economic and cultural elements within these communities by providing a coach to assist each city and access to resources.
The newly added communities include Alta, Aurelia, Sioux Rapids, Storm Lake, Royal, Albert City, Marathon, and Lakeside. Keep Iowa Beautiful, which is affiliated with Keep America Beautiful, receives funding from private donors, The Iowa Economic Development Authority, and the participating communities themselves.
The Hometown Pride program has already made a positive impact in other communities across the state, and these new additions are expected to benefit greatly from the program’s initiatives. By working together with a shared goal of community improvement, these communities are set to see positive changes that will benefit residents and visitors alike. The expansion of the program showcases the commitment of these communities to creating a better quality of life for all who live and visit the area.
