No. 6 Iowa State dominated Jackson State with a 100-58 victory on Sunday night, led by Curtis Jones with 19 points and Milan Momcilovic with 18. The Cyclones reached 100 points for the first time this season, with Dishon Jackson contributing a season-high 17 points. Keshon Gilbert scored 16 points, Joshua Jefferson had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. On the other side, Dorian McMillian led Jackson State with 20 points.
This win marked Iowa State’s largest margin of victory since 2023, forcing 24 turnovers to tie a season-high. Jackson State is struggling with a 0-10 record, while Iowa State is now 7-1 and gearing up to face Iowa in the CyHawk Series game. The Cyclones had a key 17-2 run in the second half and Nate Heise stood out with a career-high six steals. Jackson State will face UTEP next, while Iowa State will take on Iowa. The team had a breather after beating Marquette and now look forward to continuing their success in the upcoming challenges.
