Iowa Valley Grinnell has announced a new partnership with Toys for Tots, accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for children in need until Dec. 13. Donations can be dropped off at IVG campus on Sixth Ave. West, Grinnell, during business hours. The initiative is being led by the IVG Phi Theta Kappa organization and Gunsmith faculty member Matt Ostrander, a Marine Corps veteran. Ostrander, who served from 2002 to 2014, emphasizes the impact of Toys for Tots on children and families and encourages others to volunteer. Toys for Tots, a national program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for 76 years, aims to bring happiness and hope to children during the holiday season. IVG faculty and staff are excited to participate in the program and spread joy to local children in the community.
