Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Iowa City recently teamed up with Toys for Tots to help provide gifts for over 900 local families in need in Johnson and Washington counties. The collaboration aims to fill in age gaps where Toys for Tots may be lacking, particularly for teenagers who can be harder to shop for. Marcia Mckeag, a representative from Toys for Tots, highlighted the importance of providing gifts for children of all ages, from newborns to 15-year-olds.
To support this initiative, Ollie’s is collecting donations for Toys for Tots until December 7th. Customers can also choose to round up their change at checkout or donate a toy or kids’ book at the Iowa City location. The special event held by Ollie’s on Wednesday night helped raise funds and gather gifts for the holiday season. This collaboration between Ollie’s Bargain Outlet and Toys for Tots demonstrates a commitment to giving back to the local community and ensuring that all children have a special holiday season.
