The CAM boys basketball team is gearing up for a new season after ending the previous year on a hot streak. Despite losing three key players, they are hopeful that returning players Chase Jahde and Collin Bower will lead the team to success. Additionally, Makade Paulsen, Coby Venteciher, and Gunnar Hogueison are expected to contribute valuable minutes on the court.
Coach Ian Hunt is optimistic about the team’s potential, focusing on utilizing their size and physicality on both offense and defense. The team has been practicing hard to prepare for the tough competition in the Rolling Valley Conference, which has produced state qualifying teams in the past few years.
To break up the monotony of practice, the team recently had a scrimmage against Griswold, providing a different challenge before the start of the regular season. The players are eager to improve and work together as a unit to achieve their goal of making it to the state tournament. With their determination and hard work, the CAM Cougars are ready to take on the upcoming basketball season.
