Iowa State University’s women’s volleyball team concluded their 2024 season with a loss to No. 11 Kansas in four sets. Despite a strong effort, the Cyclones fell by scores of 25-23, 23-25, 21-25, 26-28. Senior Brooke Stonestreet was honored in her final game at Hilton with 15 digs, four assists, and two aces.
Lilly Wachholz led the team with 17 kills while Maya Duckworth, Faith DeRonde, and Tierney Jackson also contributed double-digit kills. Morgan Brandt achieved her ninth double-double of the season with 49 assists and 12 digs.
The first set saw ISU take an early lead, but Kansas fought back and ultimately took the win. The following sets were closely contested, but Kansas managed to secure the victory. Despite the loss, Iowa State showed resilience and determination throughout the match.
The Cyclones will now look to regroup and prepare for the upcoming season with a sense of optimism and determination to improve.
