[ad_1]
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) in Iowa is sponsoring a unique scholarship program for graduating high school seniors in the state. The program awards thousands of dollars each year to students based on volunteerism, achievement, and financial need. Both males and females are eligible to apply for the scholarships.

Students attending two-year community college or vocational schools can compete for $500 scholarships, while students attending four-year colleges can compete for $1,000 scholarships. There are also two $1,000 music scholarships available for students studying music, thanks to a generous donation from the estate of E Lucille Miller.

Interested students can obtain applications from their guidance counselors and must email their completed applications by February 1st. Applicants must be Iowa residents to be eligible for the scholarships.

For more information, those interested can contact Bette Kuboushek, Scholarship Chairman, at 563-599-4312 or gfwciaschol@gmail.com. This scholarship program provides an excellent opportunity for Iowa students to receive financial assistance for their post-secondary education while recognizing their achievements and volunteer efforts.
