Big Grove For Good is a grant program making a charitable impact in Iowa, funding local organizations to make the state a better place to live. Since its inception, the program has donated over $104,000 to various recipients, including a lending library, boxing club, youth arts academy, and drug donation repository. Founded by managing partner Doug Goettsch in Solon in 2013, Big Grove has been actively involved in giving back to the community since day one.
In 2022, Big Grove will select two grant recipients in Johnson, Linn, and Polk counties, where their taprooms are located. The grants aim to support organizations with a local impact working towards community revitalization and equity. Mikala Demet, a community project manager for Big Grove, spearheads the grant program and believes in leaving the world a better place through these philanthropic efforts. The program is set to open applications for 2025 soon, inviting organizations to apply for funding to support their impactful work in the community.
