Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has pardoned two turkeys named Caitlin and Clark in a Thanksgiving tradition honoring the state’s basketball star Caitlin Clark. The turkeys were spared from ending up on the dinner table and will now live out the rest of their days at Living History Farms in Urbandale.
Caitlin Clark is a standout player for the University of Iowa women’s basketball team and was recently named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Clark has quickly become a fan favorite with her impressive skills on the court, leading to the naming of one of the turkeys after her.
