Trump and his supporters vehemently deny accusations of being a Nazi

After some Democrats compared former President Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally to a pro-Nazi event, Trump and his allies are vehemently denying the comparisons. Former First Lady Melania Trump stated that Trump is not like Hitler and his supporters stand behind him for the success of the country. Trump himself falsely claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris and her campaign have labeled him as Hitler or a Nazi. However, Harris and her campaign have not explicitly used that language. Trump has referred to Harris as a fascist on multiple occasions.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested that comparing Trump to Hitler could make him vulnerable to assassination, as historically some individuals have discussed killing baby Hitler. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also drew parallels between Trump’s rally and the Nazi event. Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly stated that Trump falls into the general definition of a fascist and has made positive comments about Hitler in the past.

Despite reports that Trump praised Hitler, Trump and his campaign have denied such claims. Trump’s vice presidential nominee, Senator JD Vance, had once referred to Trump as “America’s Hitler.” The Democratic National Committee projected onto Madison Square Garden that Trump praised Hitler during his rally. Trump’s allies continue to reject any comparisons between Trump and Hitler, emphasizing that they are unfounded and harmful. These denials come amidst ongoing criticisms of Trump’s rhetoric and policies.
