It felt like a premonition, or something similar

Suzanne Morrison, mother of “Friends” star Matthew Perry, has opened up about her son’s death almost a year after his passing. In an interview with Savannah Guthrie on Today, Morrison recalled a touching moment she shared with Perry before his death, where he expressed his love for her. Perry, who was the only child from Morrison’s marriage to John Bennett Perry, died in October 2023 at the age of 54. The autopsy report revealed that he had died from the acute effects of ketamine, a drug that caused him to become unconscious and drown in a hot tub.

Perry had a history of drug and alcohol use, as well as battles with depression, and had been reportedly clean for 19 months prior to his death. Los Angeles prosecutors charged five individuals, including his personal assistant and two doctors, in connection with his death, alleging that they took advantage of his addiction to profit themselves. The family expressed their heartbreak over Perry’s death but were glad that law enforcement was taking the case seriously.

The autopsy report highlighted the dangers of unsupervised ketamine use and the vulnerability of individuals struggling with addiction. Perry’s family is seeking justice for his untimely death, as they continue to mourn the loss of the beloved actor.
