Report claims Jets have acquired WR Davante Adams from Raiders

The New York Jets have acquired wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a conditional draft pick. The trade reunites Adams with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, with whom he played on the Green Bay Packers for eight seasons. Adams, a six-time Pro Bowl selection, has not played since September due to a hamstring injury but has 18 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown so far this season. The Jets hope he will help revive their passing offense, which has been struggling. The team is currently 2-4 and in third place in the AFC East.

In Las Vegas, Adams reportedly requested a trade last month, and the team was looking for a second-round pick in exchange. The Raiders have struggled with consistency at quarterback, and their overall passer rating is eighth-worst in the NFL. Adams, who was drafted by the Packers in 2014 and spent nine seasons with the team before being traded to the Raiders in March 2022, is known for his impressive stats. Last year, he caught 103 passes for 1,516 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns. In his career, Adams has 890 receptions for 10,990 yards and 96 touchdowns. The trade is a significant move for both teams as they look to improve their standings and performance in the league.
