Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered a lower leg injury in the team’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. Love was hit by two defensive players while attempting a pass and had to be helped off the field. Backup quarterback Malik Willis replaced Love for the final plays of the game. Love had signed a lucrative contract in July and had a successful first full season as a starter last year. His coach, Matt LaFleur, did not have information on the severity of the injury. Love’s performance in the game included 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The 25-year-old quarterback led the Packers to the postseason last year with impressive stats.
