Iowa State Fair’s butter cow will be accompanied by popular Iowa comedians

The Iowa State Fair’s iconic butter cow will be joined by butter sculptures of “Tonight Show” comedians Johnny Carson and Steve Higgins this year. Carson, a native of Iowa, hosted the show from 1962-1992, while Higgins, a Des Moines native, has been the announcer since 2014. These sculptures, along with one of current host Jimmy Fallon, will be displayed at the John Deere Agriculture Building from August 8-18. Last year, the fair featured sculptures of famous athletes including Caitlin Clark, Kurt Warner, and Jack Trice. The butter sculptures can be viewed along with the iconic sky glider chair. Don’t miss this chance to see these unique and humorous creations at one of the oldest state fair traditions.
