Tree Care Meeting Hosted by Worth County Extension Service in Northwood, Iowa

The Worth County Extension Service is hosting a Selection, Planting and Tree Care meeting on July 25 featuring Dr. Billy Beck and Dennis Johnson. Dr. Beck, an Iowa State University Extension Woodland Management Specialist, will cover topics such as tree selection, planting, healthy tree care practices, windbreak establishment, and Emerald Ash Borer control. Dennis Johnson will lead a discussion and demonstration on treatment and control of the Emerald Ash Borer. Two local tree care professionals will also be providing insights on treatment strategies for the pest. The meeting is open to all from North Iowa and Southern Minnesota and will take place at 6 p.m. at the Worth County Fairgrounds in Northwood.
