Mike Heslin, known for his role in the TV series “Lioness,” passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week-long battle in the hospital. His husband, recording artist Scotty Dynamo, shared the news on Instagram, describing Heslin as young, healthy, and unexplainably taken by this tragedy. Dynamo praised Heslin as a brilliant and selfless individual who had been his rock through multiple rounds of cancer. The couple, who married in 2023, had plans to start a family, but Heslin’s sudden death shattered those dreams. Remembered as sweet, caring, and loving, Heslin was also an organ donor, giving the gift of life to four families. Friends and colleagues, including actor Kimiko Glenn, paid tribute to Heslin, highlighting his impactful presence in their lives.
Heslin, a director, producer, and writer, graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee and co-founded Well-Versed Entertainment. He had acting roles in shows like “Younger” and “I Love You…But I Lied,” as well as creating and starring in his own series “The Influencers.” His most recent appearances were in “Special Ops: Lioness” and “The Holiday Proposal Plan.” Heslin’s death has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, but his legacy as a talented and caring individual lives on.
